Message from the Head of School
Welcome to Phil-Mont!
PMCA is an accredited, independent, co-educational, college preparatory school located in suburban Philadelphia which serves approximately 350 students enrolled in Pre-K through grade 12. Our mission is to provide excellent academic education from a consistent Christian world-and-life view for the children in Christian families.
I serve as the current of a long line of Heads of School in our 65 years of ministry. In some ways there have been many changes over the years. Locations, size of school, faculty members, Board leadership, and certainly tuition, among many other things, have changed over those years. What has also changed is our culture and community. Compared to the days of our inception the world is in a technological, social, and political whirlwind of fast-paced change. In the midst of such change Phil-Mont continues its commitment and effectiveness of partnering with parents in educating our children regarding the person, power, and purposes of God in and through all that He has made. In a world that screams to us that each individual is Lord of his own life, PMCA continuers to boldly profess and propagate that God is the only Lord and through Jesus has been reconciling the world to Himself. We continue to teach the Scriptures as the only infallible rule of faith and life and that a proper education includes understanding the world as God made it while understanding how he made us and the roles to which He calls us in this world. |

Through the passion of our mission, the satisfaction of sacrificing parents, the rigorous learning of our students, the devotion of our faculty, and the educational and career pursuits of our alums I believe you will receive helpful and honest answers for the questions regarding the Christian education of your children. At Phil-Mont, helping parents help students develop a consistent Biblical worldview should not ask you to sacrifice the importance of excellent academic preparation. Rather, it is that consistent Biblical worldview which can give purpose and meaning to the discovery of the world in which we are called to live, lead, serve, and enjoy. Through understanding who God is and what He has made our young people are thoroughly equipped to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
