Fine Arts
Festival
The
Spring Fine Arts Festival is underway! Last night the Middle School
musicians presented a wonderful concert, and the halls are brimming
with displays of artwork by students of all ages. Students
were greeted this morning by a 30 foot snake making its way through the
halls and into elementary chapel, accompanied by African-garbed
percussionists playing drums and tambourines. Watch for him to pop up
throughout the weekend!
Tonight at 7:30, the high
school students take their turn for a concert.
This one will include the High School Concert Band, the Choir, the Jazz
Band and the new Men's A Cappella group.
Tomorrow's
events begin at
10:00 am. There will be face painting, a Story Telling Hut and art
activities for the children, and food will be on sale throughout the
day. Musica l highlights include soloists, elementary ensembles and
multiple performances
of our 60's Motown Extravaganza. PMCA
thespians will take to the stage for scenes from Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet,
Improvisations, and One Acts The
Potboiler and Lives
of the Saints. The day culminates with special
performances of two African stories especially suited for family
enjoyment, Kalulu's
Money Garden and The
Ring of Truth. Click here

The Open

between 6 and 8 pm. John has faithfully served PMCA as
plant manager for the past 20 years.
His knowledge of the building and its quirks is exceeded only by his
love for all that PMCA stands for and his love for and commitment to
the students. Please join us as we honor and thank him for his
godly leadership. A special presentation will be made at 7 pm, and hors
d'oeuvres and dessert will be served. Please contact Renée
Asher if you would like to help out.
Welcome Rob
Raggi!
Praise
the Lord for providing Rob Raggi to serve as our new
Facilities Coordinator. Rob began work this past Monday. He is a Master
Electrician and comes to us from Lou's Electric where, over the past 12
years, he has worked on our school and developed a solid working
relationship with John Davis.
Rob has also
served as a trustee at Oreland Presbyterian Church where he worships
with his wife Jessica (Farrell, PMCA '98) and their 3 year old son.
Please give
Rob a warm welcome when you see him.

Student
Highlight
Junior Soraya Toppin-Herbert had an
exciting w eek
last week when she joined the Barbados National Senior
Women's Soccer team in Trinidad for three international soccer
matches. Soraya
was invited by the Barbados Football (Soccer) Association to play with
the national team for the Second Round of the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup

played the entire time in all three games against
