Overview: PMCA is seeking a Library Media Associate for the 2011-2012 school year, Philadelphia-Montgomery Christian Academy is seeking an individual interested in obtaining a full-time hourly position while learning about the rewarding occupation of School Library Media Specialist through on-the-job training. This position is an exciting opportunity for a student of School Library Media Science.
PMCA seeks an individual who:

- has organizational and technological skills
- has an awareness of 21st Century Literacy Skills
- is able to communicate positively with students in grades PreK-12
- has an awareness of current library issues and practices
- has an understanding of databases, citations and circulation programs
- Responsibilities will include:
- willingness to be mentored by an active Library Media Specialist
- teaching 21st century Literacy Skills to a middle school class
- willingness to teach Library Skills classes when needed and for experience
- willingness to serve in an aide position for the Library Media Specialist
- covering study halls in the Library Media Center
- learning and using skills related to all aspects of the job
- commitment to continue in Library and Information Science degree program currently enrolled in
