Summer is a time for fun and friendship for kids of all ages. It also can be a time to explore new interests or to focus on current passions in academics, athletics or the arts. PMCA camps offer a summer experience for kids of all interests from age 4 to 18. All programs take place on Phil-Mont’s campus in Erdenheim and are staffed by current teachers, staff, alumni and christian friends. Spots fill up quickly so contact the instructor (by clicking on their name and sending them an email) no later than June 1 to reserve a place!

Tennis Camp
Coach: Ron Bierema
Location: PMCA Tennis courts
June 15-19; 9am-10:30am
Ages 10-15
$50
Beginner to Intermediate

Teaches the basic fundamentals in stroke production (forehand, backhand, volley, serve, and overhead smash), court movement, and basic footwork skills.



SAT / PSAT Math Prep Camp
Coach: Ron Bierema
Location: PMCA
June 22-26; 1pm-3pm
Ages: entering 10-12th grades
$75
Campers will learn basic concepts in number theory, algebra, and geometry; Test-taking strategies, receive individual and group instruction, and practice tests

 



Drama Camps

Wrestling Camps
Coach: Matt Kephart
Location: PMCA Gym
9am-3pm
 
$120 ($80 for siblings). Due by 5/1.
All levels

High School July 6-10; Ages 14-18
Middle School July 13-17; Ages 10-13

Instruction and Practice: Wrestling philosophy, techniques and moves, conditioning and strength work. Campers must provide their own lunch as well as showering items for after the program.



Basketball Camp

Location: PMCA Gym
June 29-July 3; 8:30am-2:00pm
Ages 9-14
$120 ($110 for PMCA students).
All levels

$5 discount for every non-PMCA student you recruit. Two or more campers per family receive a $5 discount per camper. The fee includes a T-shirt and all camp activities. Campers must provide their own lunch!

Books and Cooks Camp
Instructor: Becky Wilson
Location: 6/22-7/10 Room 101; 7/13-7/24 Room 102
June 22-July 24; 10am-3pm
Grades K-2
$150 per week; due by 6/15.
8 campers

Come join others who love to play with their food and delight in the possibilities of language! First, we’ll eat up great books, make recipes that go with them, and create take-home journals that narrate our experience. Then, we’ll use music, games, art, and sign language to build on the stories we read. Each week will feature different books and recipes. We’ll snack on our recipe of the day. Please bring your own lunch, including drink.



Christian Athletic Mentoring Program (CAMP)
Instructor: James Tyler, Jr.

Ages 6-15
$99 per week.
max. 50 students per week

Summer Fit CAMP is a positive environment for children and teens to learn the importance of physical activity, a healthy lifestyle and daily devotion. Everyday is filled with: fitness, education, fellowship, singing & fun!

Art Camps

$125-$145, materials provided
max 14 students per class

Ceramics: June 22-26; $145
Creative clay projects to pinch, roll, coil, slam and twist. All projects will be glazed and fired in the school kiln.

Book Binding: August 10-14; $125
Explore the are of book making. Children will learn to make handmade books including decorative front and back covers, personalized inside pages, handmade paper, and hand-binding.



Middle School Soccer Clinic

Location: PMCA Soccer Field
July 6-10; 9am-1pm
Girls and Boys
ages 11-14
$100 ($75 for siblings)
All levels

Skill building, endurance and strength training, team play and strategy, spiritual growth and applications.



Sewing Camps
Instructor: Lois Sorkness
Location: PMCA room 202
9am-12pm
13 and older (adults welcome)
$100, plus materials
max 4 students per class

Beginners: July 20-24
Learn how to thread and operate a sewing machine, how to choose fabrics, follow directions and cut out patterns. Projects may include: pajama pants, purse-type bag, jewelry bag, apron, etc. Basic supplies will be provided.

Intermediate: July 27-31
Start on sewing projects immediately by learning how to fit garments properly and complete something to wear. Skills taught may include: zippers, button holes and more advanced options. Projects could include: skirt, top, sheath dress.



Haircutting Night Camp
Instructor: Lois Sorkness
Location: PMCA
July 20-24; 7:30pm-8:30pm
16 and older (adults welcome)
$100
 

Make new friends and money in college! I paid for all of my books and social activities through haircutting.

Families can save hundreds of dollars each year!!
