Turn Your PA Taxes Into Scholarships for Phil-Mont

The Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) is a Pennsylvania program that allows you to turn your state tax dollars into scholarships for Phil-Mont students—and a tuition discount for current families—at almost no cost to you.

Why Participate?

  • 90% of your gift comes back to you as a PA tax credit.

  • You help provide need-based scholarships for other Phil-Mont families.

  • You get at least a $500 discount on your tuition each year you participate.

  • It’s legal, impactful, and simple.

How It Works (In Plain English)

  1. Decide to Participate

    • You’ll need to budget the amount you’re giving for 12–14 months.

    • Most people start with $1,000–$5,000.

  2. Join the Program

  3. Send In Your Check

    • CTF will email you when it’s time to send your check (usually before the end of October).

    • You send your check for the amount you committed.

  4. Get Your Tax Credit

    • In early spring, you’ll receive a K-1 tax form to include with your PA taxes.

    • You’ll get 90% of your donation back as a tax credit, plus a federal deduction on the small admin fee.

  5. Receive a Tuition Discount

    • Once your check is processed, Phil-Mont will apply a $500 (or more if over $5,000) discount to your tuition.

  6. Recycle and Repeat!

    • Use your tax refund to participate again next year—keep the cycle going.

Key Details

  • Available to both individuals and businesses in Pennsylvania.
