Phil-Mont’s Drama Program has a long and glorious history and is one of the defining characteristics of the school. The high school programs have been primarily produced or directed by Mr. Will Liegel since the early 1990’s, and with the inclusion of Mr. Stewart’s elementary musicals since 2020, the majority of our students have the opportunity to be on stage (or behind the scenes) for God’s glory and the enjoyment of all who watch.
Elementary Musical (3rd-5th) – 5th grade lead actors/singers, 3rd & 4th grade singing ensembles.Â
Fall Musical – featuring performers from grades 6 through 12, plus stage crew, lighting crew, sound crew, and costume/makeup crew. 4 ticketed performances are typically well-attended.
Winter Play – featuring performers from grades 9 through 12 in the same style as the Fall Musical.
Spring Fine Arts Festival – Rotating through 5 different continental themes year by year, this festival includes One-Acts, Shakespeare, and Mini-musicals by students in grades 6 through 12. The Acts are sprinkled through the concert series that accompany the Spring.
High School Wednesday Electives – Wednesday theatre/performance electives are one-semester enrichment classes that students may select. Recent classes have included Improv, Puppetry, Dance, and Film making.
